Malice Domestic Conference Writeup

Well, I went to my first Malice Domestic conference, and hope it won't be my last. What a terrific time!

So many pleasant people, and it was great meeting new fans and other mystery writers. Lots of fellow members of Sisters in Crime and the Mystery Writers of America.

We'll start the picture parade with Guest of Honor Hank Philippi Ryan, shown here with fan Patricia Wheeler.

Lifetime Achievement Honoree Ann Cleeves, shown here with power agent and author Paula Munier.

On Friday, I got to do Author-Go-Round, where each pair of authors goes from table to table of folks and does a 2-minute pitch for their work. Takes a lot out of you, but so much fun!

Here's Delia Pitts, my partner for the tour.

Edwin Hill doing his round.

There were many great panels. Here's one of Agatha Award Nominees:

On Sunday was the afternoon tea, a delight.

We had a narrator read us a story...

LynDee Walker brought her daughters

And cool hotel guests. Me and da boyz from Harlingen, Texas

And a Bills fan, but still cool

Great event- thanks to all who worked hard to make it a treat for the rest of us!
